Papua New Guinea - New Caledonia 54:85
New Caledonia roll over Papua New Guinea in Day 3 of the 2012 Pacific Youth Championships. The team tasted the initial success and finished Pool 2 with 1-2 record. Papua New Guinea meanwhile suffered their third straight loss.
New Caledonia took the lead from the first minutes and controlled the entire game. They managed to win all the quarters and rightfully clinched the victory.
Nicolas Cedare-Wimian top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Loic Meztdorf notched 17. O'Bryan Martin delivered 15 and Gabriel Honda had 10. Emmanuel Parapa answered with 23 points in defeat and Darren Raimo had 9. Wali Aila and Junior Tokiala delivered 6 points each in a loss.
Tomorrow Papua New Guinea will face Australia in the first Quarterfinal, while New Caledonia will take on Guam.
