Australia demolish Papua New Guinea to reach the semis of the 2012 Pacific Youth Championships. The home side overcame the guests 109:31 as six players scored in double digits.
Australia started the game with 23-7 and never looked behind. They also allowed the opponents to score 7 points in the third and the last quarters. Papua New Guinea posted 10 points in the second frame but got 31 in their basket.
William Mcdowell-White top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Jacob Pupavac nailed 18. Thomas Wilson delivered 15, while Dejan Vasiljevic added 11. Joban Mea answered with 6 points in defeat and Obert Muri had 5.
Tomorrow Australia will face Fiji in the Semifinal game. Papua New Guinea will play in the Classification Round for 5-8 places.
