A tightly contested game of which Fiji came out the victor. Am. Samoa holding Fiji out in the 1st and 2nd quater leading by 34-32. Fiji fought back hard in the 3rd quater to lead by 50-40, their star player wearing #7 frustrating Am. Samoa's defense forcing them into errors. Am.Samoa made a late comeback in the last quater however with Fiji's solid defense they were unable to regain their lead, Fiji securing their gold medal. At the final hooter Fiji won 70-62
