2012 Pacific Youth Championships: Tahiti better Samoa

Tahiti recorded the victory at the Pacific Youth Championships tonight. They knocked down Samoa to set the clash versus New Caledonia for the fifth position at the tournament. Oceane Lefranc came up with pivotal performance for Tahiti. She notched 30 points and 21 reboudns to pace the winners.
Tahiti led 21:12 after ten minutes. They held Samoa to 6 points in the second term to gain a 41:18 halftime advantage. Samoa tried to bounce back in the third term. They were able to outscore Tahiti but still trailed by 22 points before the fourth frame. Tahiti responded with a 21:10 run in the final stanza and celebrated victory. Reva Dauphin netted 14 points for the winners. Janice Moke came up with 21 points and 12 rebounds for Samoa. Wilma Te'O and Donna Tofilau had 6 points each in the loss.
