Uzbekistan U16 marked their return to the international stage with a thrilling 65–62 comeback win over Samoa U16 in the opening game of Division B at the FIBA U16 Women’s Asia Cup 2025. Samoa controlled the first half, taking a 33–27 lead at the break after consistent scoring in the opening two quarters. However, Uzbekistan stormed back in the third with a 22–17 run, shifting momentum and closing the gap heading into the final period. In a tense fourth quarter, Uzbekistan’s composure and clutch execution sealed the narrow victory, completing a memorable comeback to start their campaign on a high note.
Khushnoza Murodjonova (158-F-2011) led the way with 18 points and Farangiz Lutfullaeva (162-F-2009) posted 15. Marley Sialeipata replied with 19 points in defeat.
