Samoa claimed a convincing 74–59 victory over the Cook Islands in the FIBA Women’s U17 Oceania Cup, controlling the matchup from the opening tip. Although the Cook Islands showed resilience in the third quarter, Samoa maintained composure and kept their opponents at a distance. A steady 14–12 finish in the fourth quarter sealed the win, as Samoa’s consistency across all periods proved too strong for the Cook Islands to overcome.
Tereise Reupena (170-SG-2008) and Adelaide Filemu (178-SF-2010) top-scored for the winners with 12 points apiece, whilst Marley Sialeipata had 11. BRIDGETTE KATA replied with 20 points in defeat.
