Turueke to play college basketball next season

Waige Turueke (188-G) will start playing US college basketball in the upcoming season playing for the New Mexico Institute, a Junior College. . He just graduated from New Mexico Military Institute Basketball team and was awarded a two-year scholarship to join the school's junior college team . National basketball development officer Golden Kiloko announced Turueke promotion to the college level last week. Turueke is the first basketball player to play at US college basketball level  He was the team's leading scorer this season, he's got a good court vision and can hit from the three-point range.  The Solomon Islands Basketball Federation is sorting out ways on getting Waige Turueke to join the National Team team for the upcoming South-Pacific Mini-Games in Palau.
