The Skinny: Solomon Islands haven’t played in an Oceania tournament since 2001 Oceania Basketball championships in Fiji, where they came in 9^th. Not much is expect from the Solomon Islands, who are without their best player Waige Turueke who is currently based in the US. This tournament should be able to a good indication of what kind of basketball development is needed in Solomon Islands
