2012 Pacific Youth Championships: Tahiti wipe out Samoa for first win

Tahiti recorded the first win at the 2012 Pacific Youth Championship. They knocked down Samoa for 1-1 record. Heimano Buisson delivered 19 points to pace the winners.
Tahiti started very strong. They unloaded 33 points in the first period to gain a 26-point lead. Tahiti maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They accumulated a 56:13 halftime lead. Tahiti continued their dominance in the second half. They limited Samoa to 14 points in the second half and clinched well-deserved win at the end. Oceane Lefranc finished with 17 points, while Reva Dauphin contributed 18 for the winners. Leilani Tafili answered with 8 points and 9 rebounds for Samoa.
