In the French Cup 8th Round, AS Aorai will face Le Mee-Melun which is playing in the french 4th division. This is a good team and the game should be close if the players from Tahiti manager to recover from a 24-hour long flight.

With 4 players above 196cm, Le Mee will have a little height averaged but its players have an higher basketball IQ.

This squad is led by a trio made of Riad Aggoun (180-G-80), Makhan Traore (192-G-79) and Gerard Nicolas (198-C-72). Traore is the team's leading scorer with 15.0ppg (24.0ppg in the last three games) and the is the guy to stop. This team is not unbeatable for Aorai, last year the Tahiti champs defeated Centre Federal (a 3rd division team) but this game was played in Tahiti. Le Mee is playing in the 4th division, Pool D, with a 5-13 record.
Hopefully, all the Aorai players would be able to make the long and expensive trip to France to field the best team they could. Beo Tetuateroi, Novick Teniaro and Honoura Bonnet should be the team leaders but the roster might be changed and somehow improved.
Aorai will start the game with a 7-0 lead because of the difference of level, Aorai is ranked as a 5th division team. The game will start at 8pm, on Saturday Feb 26th.
