Tahiti celebrated second straight win in Kaitaia. They overcame American Samoa 65-59 at the Polynesia Games 2022.
Both teams exchanged the victories in the first half as American Samoa enjoyed a 38-33 halftime advantage. The third quarter was decisive in the game as Tahiti needed a 21-9 surge to seal the win.
Oceane Lefranc (177-SF-1993) top-scored for the winners with 21 points and Maea Lextreyt (1985) poured in 12. Valerie Tanuvasa answered with 17 points in the losing effort and Malia Nawahine (178-G-1995) delivered 15.
