Mongolia overcame Tahiti 91-62 in Ulaanbaatar at the Asia Cup 2025 Pre-Qualifiers. The hosts grabbed a 24-15 lead at the start and never looked behind. They posted a 29-18 run in the second frame and won the third quarter 22-11. Tahiti only managed to score the same number of points as the hosts in the last stanza, 17-17.
Ulzii Myagmarsuren stepped up with 18 points and Sanchir Tungalag (193-G-1989) as well as Onolbaatar Enkhbaatar (196-G-1995) had 13 each. Anand Ariunbold (197-F-1997) followed them with 12 points in a win. Maui Roopina (183-G-2002) replied with 14 points in a loss, whilst Glenn Garbutt (1991) and Heimoana Teamotuaitau (185-SG-1999) had 10 apiece.
