FIBA Oceania Youth Tournament preview

After two years of financial struggles, Tahiti is finally able to field a team in a major Oceania tournament. As usual, the girls from the french territory should be very competitive. Great coaches, great preparation, Tahiti wants to make its mark in the FIBA Oceania Youth Tournament for Women.

Tahiti - Papua New Guinea on Oct 17
Playoffs on Oct 19-21

Preview:
They're back and they want to prove it to their South Pacific neighbours. Tahiti will face the all-mighty Australia is the opening game but the other game should be much more easier against Guam and Papua New Guinea. Two wins would lead to a much affordable quarterfinal. Australia, New Zealand and Fiji seems to be out of reach for the other teams so there is one spot available in the semifinals. Tahiti came back to the Oceania stage to take this spot and maybe more.
