Isaac Fotu is a newcomer at CAI Zaragoza

Isaac Fotu

CAI Zaragoza (Liga Endesa) strengthened their roster with addition of 21-year old New Zealander-Tongan forward Isaac Fotu (203-104kg-93). He just graduated from Hawaii (NCAA). The last season Fotu played also at the University of Hawaii in Big West Conference in the NCAA. In 29 games he recorded 14.9ppg and 6.4rpg. Great season indeed as he was voted to All-Big West 1st Team and NABC Division I All-District 9 2nd Team.
As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it is his first season as a pro. Fotu represented New Zealand at the 3x3 Youth Olympic Games in Italy three years ago.
He has played previously for another Spanish team New Zealand Breakers.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A young fiorward with huge international experience and winning mentality. Has great spin moves, can easily dunk and can score. Also, he can played tough-as-nails defense. Great upside for the SF position.
