He averaged 12.8pts 45.3%FG 4.4rbs and 1.9st in 30min per game (30gp, 30 starts) in his senior year at UNK (23-7).

Nebraska-Kearney lost 84-94 in the National Tournament opening round, Taukiuvea posted 11pts 4/11FG and a season-high 9rbs in 32 minutes. The team made a good run in the RMAC Tournament, only losing in the semifinals 82-89 to Mesa State, Taukiuvea scored 7pts 3/6FG in this game. He has played two season at Mc Cook Community College before going to Nebraska-Kearney for two years. He will try to sign his first pro contract in some US minor leagues or somewhere else in the world. He could use his tongan background to take a shot in the australian NBL. He had a tongan passport thanks to his father, and an american one thanks to his mother.
