Geraldton Buccaneers (SBL) signed 25-year old American (has also Tongan passport) guard Marcus Alipate (183-84kg-92, college: St.Thomas). He played last summer at Canterbury in New Zealand NBL league. In 19 games he had 10.3ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.1apg. Alipate helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won New Zealand NBL Regular Season in 2016. Alipate was also voted D3hoops.com All-West Region 1st Team back in 2015 at his college time.
Alipate graduated from University of St. Thomas in 2015 and it will be his third season as a professional player.
