MARQUIN CHANDLER

Tonga NT (Mitchell Cup) added to their roster experienced 36-year old American ex-international forward Marquin Chandler (202-100kg-82, college: San Jose State). He already started the season at GIE Maile Matrix (UBA) in the U.S. Chandler has played there for the last three years. The last season he played also at GIE Maile Matrix in U.S. semi-pro league UBA. Chandler's team won Mitchell Americas Cup. He was voted Latinbasket.com All-Mitchell Americas Cup 1st Team in 2018. Chandler was a member of USA Senior National Team in 2015.

He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Chandler's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in nine different countries. Chandler has played previously professionally in Bahrain, Japan (Chiba Jets), Korea (Anyang KGC), Latvia, Philippines, Portugal (Benfica), Puerto Rico, Singapore and IBL (Tri City B.).

It's very possible he may end his playing career at Tonga NT.

Chandler attended San Jose State until 2005 and it is his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player.

The scouts describe him following way: A natural wing who played 4/5 in High School, adding some inside skills. Can spend time in the point forward position, bringing up the ball most of the time. Can also hit the three point shot with great accuracy, especially when you need it. Dribbles very well in open court.
