Tonga outscored Cook 87-50 Islands at the Polynesia Games 2022. Tonga started with a 22-10 run and added a 23-12 rally in the second quarter. Moreover, they posted two more victories in the second half to secure the total success.
Marcus Alipate (182-G-1992, college: St.Thomas) and Stephen Paea top-scored for the winners with 18 points each, whilst Talanoa Latu produced 13. Toby Bland (2003) answered with 15 points in a loss, while Peter Teiti delivered 11.
