Stade basketball courts were busy in April with the semi-final matches of the Port Vila Basketball League's opening knock out tournament.

The first second division men's game saw Malapoa play LDS. In that match LDS could not contain the college kids who managed to score 26 points. LDS only managed 16 points and are dropped from the grand final. Also in the men's second division semi-final Mele beat Cannons 37-33. The Imere kids come up against Malapoa in the grand final of the men's second division knock out, promising some hot action down at the Stade courts.
In the men's first division semi-finals Stade United showed why they will be one of the men's team to watch out for this season, beating LDS 43-30. ABM made a double grand final entry when their men's first division team swept past Cannons in a 44-34 wiping.
In the women's second division games, Seveners managed to hold Petela at bay by a 1 point lead 31-30. Seveners now book their ticket to the grand finals this Saturday. In the second match Ginias defeated Cannons 34-19 and will be playing Seveners in the women's second division grand final this Saturday.
In the women's first division Au Bon Marche totally trashed Petela 68-15. Petela just could not contain the ABM team who were on fire last Saturday. In the other women's first division game Siaraga outwitted Stade United 28-26. A very tough match with both sides playing effective offensive and defence. Unfortunately only one gets through to the grand final and it happens to be Siaraga who will be playing the ABM.
