Trials for Vanuatu Youth National Team underway

Vanuatu Basketball Federation has agreed to participate in the coming FIBA Oceania Youth Tournament in New Zealand, in October. The decision was taken during the federation's executive meeting and the application was sent to FIBA Oceania at the end of February.

Two coaches will be selected for the teams and will be assisted by our National Basketball Development Officer Mr Izono. The players eligible for the National Youth teams will be selected from the Secondary School competitions and the local associations in the country. The first trials for the selections will take place this Saturday morning and the teams will have an 8 month period to prepare for the event.
