Penama was able to defeat Port-Vila 35-33 in the pool phase but the players from the capital city led by NT players Elvis Silas and Lesly Kasten won the Gold medal game against the same Penama team to take the Gold medal. This is the 5th win in a row for Port-Vila in the Vanuatu Games Men Basketball Tournament. Please read below for the final standings, results and team rosters.

Lenakel was more busy than ever with the hosting of the Tafea 2019 Provincial Games at Laminu Stadium last week (May 5th-11th). 12 sports disciplines featured in the competition's program, and so was 5x5 basketball. Last week-end, the 31st of March, players around Port Vila town made their way to Korman Stadium 1 to take part in the exciting game of 3x3 basketball. Vanuatu Basketball Federation (VBF) is currently ranked the third best 3x3 squad in the Oceania region behind powerhouse countries Australia and New Zealand.
