North Adelaide Rockets' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat West Adelaide Bearcats (2-2) 91-63 on Sunday. North Adelaide Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to West Adelaide Bearcats' 30. They outrebounded West Adelaide Bearcats 47-31 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. North Adelaide Rockets looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Verle Williams Jr (180-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 9 assists. American forward Tobias Dowdell (201-90, college: ABU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Bryan Michaels (190-96, college: Concordia, OR) added 15 points in the effort for West Adelaide Bearcats. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. North Adelaide Rockets maintains ninth position in League with 1-3 record. Loser West Adelaide Bearcats dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. North Adelaide Rockets will face league's leader Sturt Sabres in Pasadena in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. West Adelaide Bearcats will play at home against South Adelaide Panthers (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
