Strangely Panthers outrebounded Sydney City Comets 50-31 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for New Zealand center James Hunter (208-91, college: S.Dakota) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Jackson Simkovic (196-94) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Benjamin Kearins (188, agency: BIG) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Croatian power forward Goran Veg (205) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Panthers. Four Panthers players scored in double figures. Sydney City Comets moved-up to ninth place in League. Loser Panthers keep the twelfth position with three games lost. Sydney City Comets will face Bulls (#11) in Inner West in the next round. Panthers will play on the road against Excellence in Canberra and hope to win that game.
