Everything could happen in East Burwood at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Spectres and 11th ranked Rangers had identical 2-2 record. This time Spectres used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Dandenong 106-82 on Sunday night. Spectres outrebounded Rangers 41-21 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for guard Rachel Brewster (180, college: Utah St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Eliza Chilcott-Wright (-90) helped adding 24 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Spectres players scored in double figures. Dallas Loughbridge responded with 27 points and American forward Emilee Harmon (189, college: Ohio St.) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Spectres (3-2) moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser Rangers dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. Spectres will face Lady Cobras (#10) in Kilsyth in the next round. Rangers will play on the road against Tigers in Melbourne and hope to win that game.
