Very expected game when 7th ranked Gulls (2-5) lost to third ranked Devils (7-2) in Werribee 73-87 on Saturday. Devils dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Gulls' 24. Devils forced 22 Gulls turnovers. Stefan Pomasan orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 4 assists. Tomi Ayilara contributed with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Center Nathan Frost (203, college: Central CC) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and American Corey Standerfer (201-88, college: York, NE) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Gulls. Devils moved-up to second place in League. Loser Gulls keep the seventh position with five games lost. Devils will face Steelers (#10) in Western Port in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
