Very predictable result when second ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (7-1) smashed on the road 14th ranked Eltham Wildcats (2-6) 94-68 on Saturday. NW Tasmania Thunder looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Eltham Wildcats' players. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Taran Armstrong (193-2) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Joe Chilcott (193-96) who added 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four NW Tasmania Thunder players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Adam Doyle (176-91) with 24 points and 7 rebounds and center Simon Bradbury (215-89) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. NW Tasmania Thunder maintains second position in League with 7-1 record having just seven point less than leader Warwick S. Loser Eltham Wildcats dropped to the fifteenth place with six games lost. NW Tasmania Thunder will face Mount Gambier Pioneers (#3) in Mt Gambier in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
