Regular Season Round 14: Hornsby S. - Cent.Coast C. 81-111

There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Spiders (2-7) were smashed by fourteenth ranked Crusaders (2-6) in Hornsby 111-81 on Saturday. Crusaders forced 25 Spiders turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Jacob Cracknell orchestrated the victory by scoring 46 points (!!!). Forward James Trustum (192) contributed with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Crusaders' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Thomas Gillis replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Dan Babb (193, college: Beloit) added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Spiders. Crusaders moved-up to thirteenth place in League. Loser Spiders dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
