There was a small surprise in Northbridge where seventh ranked Senators (4-3) outleveled 5th ranked Redbacks (4-4) 93-58 on Saturday. They outrebounded Redbacks 59-45 including 44 on the defensive glass. Senators looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Redbacks' players. It was a great evening for guard Stacey Barr (173-92, college: Idaho) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Forward Mackenzie Clinch-Hoycard (190-98, college: Hawaii) helped adding 16 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Senators players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Maddison Allen (190-93, college: Santa Clara) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Jessica Jakens (181-94) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Senators moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Redbacks dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Senators will face Lightning (#8) in Bullcreek in the next round. Redbacks will play on the road against Slammers in Bunbury and hope to win that game.
