At the losing side swingman Sam McDaniel (198-95, college: ULM) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and American-Kenyan forward Preston Bungei (198-95, college: Norfolk St.) scored 13 points. Mount Gambier Pioneers maintains fourth place in League with 10-4 record. Loser Sabres keep the eighteenth position with ten games lost. Mount Gambier Pioneers will meet at home Eastern Mavericks (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sabres will play against Frankston Blues (#3) in Seaford and hope to win that game.
