Regular Season Round 28: Eastern Suns - Lakeside L. 75-81

Not a big story in a game in Kalamunda where 11th ranked Suns (4-10) were defeated by ninth ranked Lightning (5-8) 81-75 on Thursday. Power forward Ashleigh Isenbarger (187-97) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Emma Clarke (185-99, college: Colorado) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Lightning's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized British forward Samantha Roscoe (190-95, college: N.Dakota) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and center Mia Jacobs (186-4) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for lost side. Lightning moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser Suns keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. Lightning will meet higher ranked Cougars (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Suns will play against Redbacks (#5) and hope to secure a win.
