No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Rollers (8-4) beat 12th ranked Roar (3-8) in Gold Coast 106-91 on Friday. Rollers outrebounded Roar 49-36 including 19 on the offensive glass. Guard Jaryd Eustace (201-94, college: Miami, OH) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and swingman Tom Howard (200-95) accounted for 8 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Rollers players scored in double figures. Point guard Kobe McDowell-White (183-4) came up with 29 points and 5 assists and point guard Darryl McDowell-White (183-97, college: Master's) added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively for Roar in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rollers maintains fourth place in League with 8-4 record. Loser Roar keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. Rollers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Roar will play against Townsville Heat (#3) and hope to secure a win.
