No shocking result in a game in Wonthella where ninth ranked Cougars (8-10) outleveled 11th ranked Buccaneers (5-13) 79-52 on Saturday. They outrebounded Buccaneers 59-33 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was naturalized Greek swingman Nic Pozoglou (196-96) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Center Nathan Pond (208) chipped in 8 points and 15 rebounds. Center William Galvin (200-0) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and Elijah Barbour added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cougars maintains ninth place in League with 8-10 record. Loser Buccaneers keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Cougars will meet at home Slammers (#14) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Buccaneers will play against Wanneroo in Joondalup and hope to secure a win.
