Regular Season Round 4: Forestville E. - Southern T. 94-68

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Forestville Eagles as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Forestville Eagles smashed bottom-ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers in Goodwood 94-68. It was a key game for the top position in League. Forestville Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Noarlunga City Southern Tigers' 42. They outrebounded Noarlunga City Southern Tigers 64-33 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forestville Eagles players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The winners were led by American forward Greg Mays (203-1993, college: Green Bay) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Fiston Ipassou (195-2003) supported him with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Forestville Eagles players scored in double figures. Forestville Eagles' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 7 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by Vionte Daniels did not help to save the game for Noarlunga City Southern Tigers. Forward Jamie Smith (202-2003) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
