West Adelaide Bearcats (1-1) recorded its first loss in Woodville on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (1-1) 76-66. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to West Adelaide Bearcats' 32. Strangely West Adelaide Bearcats outrebounded Noarlunga City Southern Tigers 53-32 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Vionte Daniels who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Machar Machar chipped in 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Nikolas Desantis who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Nate Sheppard (198, college: Malone) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Noarlunga City Southern Tigers and four West Adelaide Bearcats players scored in double figures. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers left bottom position moving up to fourth place in League. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
