Undefeated Warriors (0-1) recorded its first loss in Flinders Park. Hosts were rolled over by tenth ranked Flames (1-1) 103-45. Flames held Warriors to an opponent 19.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 54.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Flames shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Warriors' players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Alex Wilson (181-1994) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 7 assists and 4 steals. Center Alek Akuen (190, college: SIUE) contributed with 9 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Emily Winter answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Katherine Perkas (-1992) added 4 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Warriors. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flames left bottom position moving up to fifth place in League. Warriors at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
