No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Bandits (3-1) beat 11th ranked Hills Hornets (1-4) in Baulkham Hills 108-101 on Sunday. Bandits made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Hills Hornets outrebounded Bandits 45-33 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Branden Jenkins (196-1994, college: TxWes) nailed 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and guard Kieran Hayward (193-1997, college: Vanguard) accounted for 27 points and 5 assists. Jenkins is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Liam Moss came up with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (198-1989, college: MSU Denver) added 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Hills Hornets in the defeat. Five Hills Hornets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bandits moved-up to second place in League. Loser Hills Hornets keep the eleventh position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
