We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Gold Coast where 8th ranked Ipswich Force (2-5) was defeated by leader Rollers (2-0) 88-79 on Friday. Rollers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-1991, college: Pittsburgh) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international guard Tanner Krebs (198-1996, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. South Sudanese forward Majok Deng (205-1993, college: ULM) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and American-DR Congolese forward Henry Pwono (198-1991, college: ECU) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Rollers moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Ipswich Force dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Rollers will meet higher ranked South West Metro Pirates (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ipswich Force will have a break next round.
