Very predictable result in Narrabeen where second ranked Hunters (7-1) defeated 10th ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (4-7) 73-62 on Sunday. Hunters outrebounded Manly Warringah Sea Eagles 49-29 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was naturalized British forward Ryan Beisty (200-1995, college: Regis Univ.) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Matur Maluach (196, college: UNB) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Daniel Pitcher (185, college: UNB) who recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds and Francois Dazemar added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Manly Warringah Sea Eagles players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hunters keep a position of League leader. Loser Manly Warringah Sea Eagles keep the tenth place with seven games lost. Hunters will meet Bankstown Bruins (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will play against Mustangs and hope to secure a win.
