This time Magic used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Floreat 96-87 on Sunday night. Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American swingman Jay Bowie (196-1992, college: Marist) nailed 24 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and guard Kyle Armour (183-1989, college: Augusta) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international forward Ben Purser (200-1990, college: Augusta) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and center Andrew Ferguson (213-1998, college: CS Monterey) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Hawks in the defeat. Five Magic and four Hawks players scored in double figures. Hawks' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Magic (7-4) moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Hawks dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Magic will meet Lightning (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hawks will play against Giants in Kalgoorlie and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
