Regular Season Round 27: Gold Coast R. - BA CoE 79-86

An interesting game for Excellence (4-2) which played road game in Gold Coast against second-best Rollers (8-2). First ranked Excellence managed to get a 7-point victory 86-79. It was a key game for the top position in League. It was a great evening for swingman Rory Hawke (194-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Jansen Bradkte helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds. Five Excellence players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Tanner Krebs (198-1996, college: St.Mary's, CA) with 33 points (!!!) and point guard Preston Le Gassick (182-2003) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Excellence maintains first place in League with 4-2 record. Rollers at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. Excellence will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rollers will play on the road against Seahawks in Runaway Bay and hope to get back on the winning track.
