Regular Season Round 27: SC Phoenix - Ipswich F. 85-100

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Ipswich Force (5-6) won against higher ranked Phoenix (6-4) in Cotton Tree 100-85 on Sunday. Ipswich Force made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for South Sudanese forward Majok Deng (205-1993, college: ULM) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American-DR Congolese forward Henry Pwono (198-1991, college: ECU) accounted for 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Guard Jamaal Robateau (196, college: Gardner-Webb) came up with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized New Zealand forward Jonathan Janssen (205-1995, college: HPU) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Phoenix in the defeat. Four Ipswich Force and five Phoenix players scored in double figures. Phoenix's coach let to play ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ipswich Force moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser Phoenix keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Ipswich Force will meet Roar (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Phoenix will play against Rip City (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
