There was a small surprise in East Burwood where sixth ranked Spectres (9-4) defeated 4th ranked Tornadoes (8-4) 105-91 on Sunday. Spectres shot 60.3 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tornadoes' players. The former international swingman Alice Kunek (187-1991, agency: LBM Management) scored 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) chipped in 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. The former international forward Keely Froling (188-1996, college: SMU) responded with 30 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Kelsey Griffin (188-1987, college: Nebraska) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Five Spectres and four Tornadoes players scored in double figures. Spectres moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Tornadoes dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
