Very predictable result in Baulkham Hills where second ranked Canberra Gunners (10-5) smashed 10th ranked Hills Hornets (5-10) 102-79 on Saturday. Canberra Gunners outrebounded Hills Hornets 42-24 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Glenn Morison (208, college: St.Edward's) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. William Mayfield chipped in 27 points and 7 rebounds. Four Canberra Gunners players scored in double figures. Andrew Ogilvy produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (198-1989, college: MSU Denver) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canberra Gunners maintains second place in League with 10-5 record having just two point less than leader Gold Coast R. Loser Hills Hornets keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Canberra Gunners will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hills Hornets will play against Bulls (#3) and hope to secure a win.
