There was no surprise in Melbourne where 16th ranked Frankston Blues (5-13) were defeated by twelfth ranked Thunder (8-9) 77-63 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Madeleine Garrick (178-1992) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Aneta Bandilovska chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Thunder players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Darcee Garbin (188-1994) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Courtney Wilkins (185-1996, college: Buffalo) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively.
