The game between closely ranked teams ended with Sydney Flames' (0-3) road loss to Perth Lynx (2-2) 72-80 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Lauren Scherf (196-1996, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Amy Atwell (183-1998, college: Hawaii) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Perth Lynx players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Jocelyn Willoughby (183-1998, college: Virginia, agency: LBM Management) with 26 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Keely Froling (188-1996, college: SMU) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Sydney Flames' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Perth Lynx will meet at home Boomers (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sydney Flames will play against Bendigo Spirit (#1) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
