Rather predictable result when leader Bendigo Spirit (6-0) defeated at home 5th ranked Adelaide Lightning (3-4) 84-75 on Saturday. Bendigo Spirit forced 19 Adelaide Lightning turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Kelsey Griffin (188-1987, college: Nebraska) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Anneli Maley (187-1998, college: TCU) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. The former international swingman Stephanie Talbot (188-1994) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and American power forward Jacinta Monroe (196-1988, college: FSU, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests.
