Camberwell used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Tullamarine 73-47 on Saturday night. Camberwell held Hume City Broncos to an opponent 19.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Hume City Broncos 61-42 including a 39-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Lithuanian guard Saule Kontautaite (175-1989, college: W.Illinois) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Marnie Houghton accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Camberwell players scored in double figures. American forward Kayonna Lee (185, college: Central Mo.) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and Emma Povh added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Hume City Broncos in the defeat. Camberwell will meet Boomers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hume City Broncos will play against Warriors (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
