Regular Season Round 3: BA CoE - Penrith P. 88-81

Very predictable result when BA CoE (5-0) won against Panthers (1-2) in Canberra 88-81 on Saturday. BA CoE forced 21 Panthers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Panthers' players. It was an exceptional evening for center Jessica Petrie (186-2005) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 4 assists. Power forward Jayda Clark (183-2005) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Five BA CoE players scored in double figures. Guard Tahlia Tupaea (175-1997) came up with 45 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Megan Jefferson (190, college: Hawaii) added 24 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Panthers in the defeat. Panthers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BA CoE will meet at home North Bears (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Panthers will play against Crusaders in Terrigal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
