But Central District Lions were not able to use a home court advantage and were outplayed by the opponent from Greenacres 95-70 on Saturday night. North Adelaide Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Central District Lions' 40. They outrebounded Central District Lions 41-29 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Riley Harrap who scored 31 points and 6 rebounds. Akech Aliir chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. North Adelaide Rockets' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Branden Jenkins (196-1994, college: TxWes) who recorded 29 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Kevin Baker (188-1995, college: Troy) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. North Adelaide Rockets will meet Forestville Eagles in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Central District Lions will play against Woodville Warriors (#5) in Flinders Park and hope to get finally their first victory.
