Everything could happen in Melbourne at the game between two tied teams. Both top-ranked Knox Raiders and bottom-ranked Thunder had identical 0-0 record. But Thunder was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Wantirna South 88-73 on Sunday night. Knox Raiders looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard KJ Feagin (185-1997, college: SDSU) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and naturalized South Sudanese center Deng Acuoth (213-1996) who added 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Zac Triplett (196-2001, college: Portland) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and American forward William Jenkins III (201-1996, college: Virginia Union) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Thunder's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Knox Raiders (1-0) left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with 11 other teams. Loser Thunder still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with 15 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
